I am working in the product group maintenance application trying to test out customizing kinetic screens. I made a layer called TEST and saved and published it. I understand I have to go to menu maintenance to change it to this layer, however when I go there my layer does not show up. Not only this, if I change the layer that it does recognize, it does not show my changes in live. Anyone have any idea how this might get fixed?
If you go to Application Studio and look up the Menu Item/Customization, does it show as Published or Draft?
I also wonder if to set the kinetic customization if you don’t have to load menu maintenance in the kinetic version as there are two customization selections in the Kinetic version, one for classic and one for kinetic, Classic may not even see the Kinetic list?
If you search the menu for ‘Application Studio’ do you get anything? If you do, when you launch that it will give you a grid of all menu items & your customizations and you can filter to the menu name and there will be columns for Has Draft, Published, etc. Has Draft will be checked if it is ‘Committed’ or less and will go away once it is published and the Published will be true.
As for getting the Kinetic version of Menu Maintenance, I am not 100% sure how to make that change, when we made the switch to Kinetic we did so by switching to the browser as well so launching it in Kinetic is just kind of how it works.
Thank you for the help. Unfortunately, it does say it is published so I do not that that is my issue. Perhaps it is something to do with Menu Maintenance not being in Kinetic.
