I foresee a few ways to skin this cat, but thought I’d float the idea here before trying to re-invent the wheel.
We inventory by EA but when preforming counts in our bulk warehouse, we want to count by cases. Our warehouse techs have their laptops on a cart, and they are used to rolling down an isle and entering the counted quantity (as cases) directly into a grid view. They can count an entire isle in a matter of 10-15 minutes. As I bring this plant into Epicor, using the UPM Conversion Worksheet is a pain of extra clicks.
Has anyone built anything (customization or U-Dash) that would allow you to enter a cycle count by an alternate UOM in a grid view?? Essentially, this would bypass a user’s need to click in and out the UOM conversion worksheet for each item they are counting.
