Cycle Count Issue with Lot Number Tracking

Using Vantage 8.03.305K

My company went live with Vantage last month and our warehouse people
are attempting to start the cycle count process.

An issue came up while cycling same part numbers with different lot
numbers in the same warehouse. We were attempting to cycle specific
lots in specific bins, not all lots in the warehouse. We had 22 out
of 23 process fine (even ones where there were some lot specific
minor variances). We had one part which did not agree with the
quantity on Vantage and for some reason it pulled the other lot
numbers with that same part number, in that same warehouse and
adjusted them to zero without any tags being assigned to those lots.
It caused a huge variance which had to be adjusted.

Has anyone had this happen to them? How can we prevent this in the
future? The nature of our stock and how we have our warehouses set
up will cause this to be an ongoing problem. Any help/suggestions
would be appreciated.
