We are new to Epicor and need to set up Cycle Count. Currently any independent demand items picked are in inventory as on hand. What is a typical way to set it up?
Hi Jeff, welcome to the forum!
The typical way to set the cycle counts is to set up your parts with “ABC Codes”. First, set up your codes in ABC Code Maintenance. Each code will have count frequency that you assign. Once you have your ABC Codes set up, you’ can run the Calculate ABC Codes to assign them automatically and edit them in Part Maintenance, or with DMT. Alternatively, you can just assign them as desired with a DMT.
Once all of your parts that you want to cycle count have ABC Codes assigned, you can use the cycle count module to get count sheets on the schedules you set. The post below has a lot of good, detailed information: Tips for starting up Cycle Counts
