Cycle counts

Julie was a significant resource in enabling us to get this off the
ground. Cycle counting has been very successful for us. We did not
have to do a full physical last year.

Is anyone using vantage for cycle counts? Any major issues so far?

We do. We're on 6.1 and have used Cycle counting for a couple of years. It
takes some set-up and patience, but it does work. In fact, we have
eliminated doing physical inventories now.

I can tell you the biggest "quirk" with cycle counting is that you have to
make sure you count every warehouse for each of your items - even if the
count is zero, but the system doesn't create tags for the zero locations, so
you have to manually add them back in. If you don't do this, the part is not
considered "counted" and will keep coming up to be counted. I have talked
to Epicor about this.

Other than that, it works very well....

We've used it off and on over the years. The only major problem we encountered was in the auto selection of parts. It was a little 'quirky' in how it functioned to the point of almost being unusable.

If you use it and manually select parts for counting it works great.
