Dashboard tracker default values

If anyone has found or put together the code to do this, there are at least three others who would be interested in the solution. A few have suggested a script in the tracker customization. I agree with this theory, but I am not sure how to construct the script.

Hi all

Im trying to set up a dashboard tracker with a field that should default to
the UserID of the current user and range the query on Orderhed.entryperson.
But i want the supervisor to be able to change that to see all orders or
orders by a specific user.

So my question is 2-fold
How do i default the field to the current user
How do i make sure only a supervisor can override this value

Thanks

Ephraim
