Dashboards & field formats?

Sean,

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction I used a subscript formula
which did the trick.

Dan

Can you change the field to a calculated field of a length you specify?

Subject: [Vantage] Dashboards & field formats?

I created a dashboard with Quotedetal.LineDesc. I need to truncate this
field so I can export the dashboard to Excel. I tried to do a
customization adding a text field. setting the data field to
ShortChar01 and the Epi binding to Ouotedetail.LineDesc, thinking it
would copy the first 50 characters into ShortChar01 from the line
description. No luck, any other ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks,
