Any one has used Data collection for time card? How does it work? How
to send sequence control key + ID using barcode reader?
We are using data collection for time clock. We've been running for about 6
weeks without any major issues other than having the supervisors be sure to
review the reports everyday. A year ago we tried this using the TT5 data
collection units. It was pretty much a disaster. Neither the tt5 units or
the software really lent itself to that kind of application. (The TT5 units
required several button pushes to have things register correctly). We had
Ceasar development customize its data collection software so that our
employees only required a single swipe to clock in and a single swipe to
clock out. At the moment our issues with timekeeping are human in nature.

The version you are in may be important, and what you are using to make the
barcode.
We have created ID badges using Bartender (Seagull Scientific) and use the
simple letters to make the selections. s to select employee, id#, enter,
enter, enter, d to deselect, d to deselect again for good measure. This
process worked with 3.0, and we are using it in 5.0 though the network speed
(or PC speed as the case may be) seems to have caused a few of the cards to
have some minor issues.
Let me know if you need more info than I have given.
