Your situation is exactly what I had. No process to kill with Promon and no
way to free the records. The routine from tech support was easy to use and
avoided kicking everyone off to restart the server. You enter employee #
and then stop each labor activity (usually only one) and then they can
"Select employee" again and resume what they needed to do. I would be happy
to email forward the message, with attachment for endact.r, that support
sent.

Subject: [Vantage] Data Collection Problems
Thanks to everyone for your responses to my record lock situation. I found
that I had to restart the server to clear the lock situation. I have seen
the problem when a computer crashes during a data collection scession and I
have used promon to kill the process, but this problem was different. The
client time out setting is at 15 minutes and does a good job of flushing
inactive users, but there was no process for the workstations in question.
???
Anyway... thanks for your help!
