Data collection scrap reason codes

Eric,
Your information is correct. eManufacturing 5.1 will be a patch that will
require schema changes because of the new Barcode Material Management
Module, Integration to FRx, Integration to Active Planner and enhanced
integration to eCommerence Store Front and other misc. enhancements.

Todd,

The way someone at Epicor had described it to me once was that New releases
would be as patches witch add modules and such to 5.0 as they are developed.

Mark,

Is there a target date for release 5.1 ?

Will 5.1 be a 'Patch' of sorts for V5.0 or will it be considered a new
release following the once a year target for new releases ?

Vantage 4:
Data Collection user is ending a labor activityÂ…
We enter quantity, defective counts and scrap reason.
Our problem is we want to break down scrap reason based upon the actual
reason a part is defective. So say we have 37 defects due to the following
reasons:
Qty 10 contamination,
Qty 5 splay,
Qty 4 short shot,
Qty 3 flash,
Qty 15 sink

How do I select multiple reason codes or somehow or other get an accurate
breakdown of why the parts were defective?
In addition, if we can only enter one reason code how do we track for ISO
purposes multiple scrap reasons and Corrective Actions?

The only way we have been able to track multiple scrap reasons on a
job is to make each entry seprate in data collection on that job this
can be very time consuming. But that is the only way we have been able
to list multiple scrap reasons on a job or operation for tracking.
I believe I read where that in 5.0 it will allow more than one scrap
code at a time.

Lee,

We have been breaking it down in the DMR reporting phase, since it will not
allow multible reasons in Data Collection nor the Quality Inspection
Processing.

Lee,
The ability to have multiple reason codes per scrap and non-conformance
labor transaction as in the example you listed below is a feature targeted
for the 5.1 release of eManufacturing.
