Data collection Time

We noticed the lag too at first but the shop people learned real quick to
click on the "Refresh" button (for the list of people clocked in) which also
refreshes the time. Until the shop bell was coordinated with the server at
shift-end they would stand there and click-click-click until it changed and
they were "legal" to go home even if the bell was late. Now they wait for
the bell and ignore the time on the screen because the bell is "always
right"..

Unless like recently with us, you get a lag involved.
I am not sure if it has to do with the compute being slow, or one of the
tweaks we made when setting up the database for ODBC access. We now have a
lag, that causes some of our Data Collection computers to lag as much as 2
minutes behind, until someone creates activity at the Data Collection screen
and it forces the update. The time recorded when activity takes place
(punch in/out) always enters the real server time and updates the DC screen.
Just a note to beware of, but otherwise, it is the server time.

Data Collection will pull time from your Vantage
Server.
