Data Dictionary available?

Hello all,

New user here and new to Epicor (but not ERPs) so forgive me if my question is amiss or in the wrong place.

We are using Prophet 21 Cloud (not on-prem) and I have successfully acquired credentials and have been whitelisted by Epicare for direct RO SQL to our prod database and successfully connected. There appears to be over 3K tables and I’m looking for a data dictionary for the schema. Does this exist and if so, where can I find it?

I found what appears to be either outdated or possible on-prem instructions but nothing has been fruitful. Thanks for any help!

It’s stored in the database in the ICE instance. There’s several tables starting with the letter “z” that cover tables, fields, relations and more. E.g. ICE.ZDataTable summarizes the tables. Though it also includes application-layer objects that aren’t in the DB itself, but those can be filtered out.

Good Question. Not sure where the data dictionary for P21 is. In Kinetic there is a menu item for it. Is there anything in the help?

Thanks for all the help. It appears for P21 SaaS that ICE is managed by Epicor, at least - I can’t seem to find it. Nothing in P21 menu navigation or knowledgebase about data dictionary. I think Judson has me on the right track. Since I’m brand new here, I don’t have access to EpicWeb but I have a request in for access. I appreciate all the responses and help.
