Data Rules

How many conditions can you have in a data rule? I have three and am trying to add a fourth. But every time I add another condition, it doesn’t add it to the group.

Now I want to change the last AND to an OR. When I do that It removes the group condition. Is this a bug or can I only have four conditions?

I’m sure Epicors own screens have rules with more than 4 conditions… Perhaps its changing from or to and that is glitching it out. If you delete them all and enter them all as you want from the start, does the same thing happen?

I don’t think 4 conditions is an issue.
I was playing with it just now and it’s SUPER buggy to get it to group properly; I was only using 3 rules.

Yes, same thing. It does appear to be a glitch when I change it from and to or, that’s when the group goes away. I’ll put a ticket into Epicor.

Good grief, this was PAINFUL.

I added all 4 conditions and left the AND/OR as default.
I added a new group condition and ignored the added row that comes with it.
I put the single “AND” condition in Group 1 and deleted the extraneous row it created.
I added a second group condition and ignored the added row that comes with it.
I added the 3 “OR” conditions to Group 2 and deleted the extraneous row.
I swapped them to “OR” and it gave me the above screenshot which is what I was going for, but it took the liberty to just delete my other group.
This is awful.

I don’t even know. This is dumb.

Did or can you get it to allow you to add one more condition to your Group 1?

I ran across the same issues you did, but every time I try to add a fourth condition it removes group 1 all together.

forgot to add it only removes it IF I change the ADD to an OR. Every single time.

I’m afraid to try.

I did it! I added a condition, set it up, changed it to OR first, then I added it to Group 1. I’ll see if I can record a 5th.

Not at all intuitive or friendly.

It wasn’t working for me at all. But THEN…
The catch seems to be when it creates a Group 1>1 you can add you next condition to group 1 change it to OR and it magically deleted the Group 1>1.

What a maddening glitch.
