Get more disk..Lots of luck. Our 8 Gig 8.03 SQL Db became 13 Gig in our
non-functional 9.05 test instance.

Our Vista OpenEdge 10.1B database with Progress is now 4.8GB

The size has increase dramatically in the last 1-year, probably 2GB. I
realize there are a bunch of commands in the oe101b\bin directory for
maintenance like the proutil command.

What would the group recommend?

Regards,

2GB is a lot to add unless you are doing a lot of transactions. Are you using the Change Log? You can accumulate a lot of change log records if you are not careful especially if you are running MRP.

The best way to compact the database is with a dump and load. If you have a decent server a dump and load for your size database could easily be done in 3 to 4 hours or less.
