Date Format pulled from Windows can throw errors

Hi everyone,

I am just wondering if anyone has ever come across an Epicor DateTime format error like:

Error Detail: Date Time Notification Exception: EmpBasic.WorkStart1_c( 2/27/2023 ), source data value is invalid Exception Message: Year, Month, and Day parameters describe an un-representable DateTime.

I noticed one of our users had a Windows 11 Date & Time format of MM/DD/YYYY. I checked my own windows Date & Time settings and the format this user had wasn’t even available to me. For some reason it was available for this user.
I asked the user to change the format to YYYY-MM-DD and everything worked normally.

Has anyone ever come across an issue like this? Epicor is pulling the date format from Windows, but it isn’t prepared for all date formats…

Here is the Windows 11 location:

Thanks!

Mismatch between the culture/language settings and the date format. Interesting.

Should the user setting for culture and language resolve that or is that going to just be a rich client thing?
