We have long lead subcontract operations. Right now our job scheduling board will display all of the days out until the operation is completed - which can make the job look like its going to be late when it isn’t. Is there any way to address this?
For example: I have a part with days out of 50, the PO for the subcontractor was taken out in February and is due this week, but the board still shows the entire 50 days still need to be completed. Thank you.
Was the previous operation completed? Are you using the Subcontract Shipment Entry program to generate the shipment packslip?
Thanks for the quick response! The previous operation was completed, but it does not look like we use Subcontract Shipment Entry. May I ask how this effects the schedule?
When you print (or just Close) the subcontract shipper, it enters a transaction in the PartTran table (Mfg-VEN) which is what I think kicks off the Days Out counter.
If anyone else has other information, please chime in…
Nope, that is my understanding too @Ernie . I thought there was a separate table that gets populated when you do the Subcon shipment. I couldn’t find it, but will repost if I do.
