Default Printer Settings Per Form 8.03

This is kind of a kludge of a work around, but to solve this problem
in 6.1 I used a macro creator called QuicKeys to simulate all of the
keystrokes or clicks needed to print 1, 2, or 3 packing slips and
created shortcut keys such as F9, F10 and F11 to trigger them.

In 6.1 to print a packing slip you need to click on the printer icon,
click the print button on the dialog, change the # of copies, click
OK, click Close to get rid of the dialog, click Yes to mark it as
shipped.

The macro does it all with one button push.

It doesn't work 100% of the time, for some reason the macro hangs
occasionally, but the Shipping Clerks like it pretty well.

I'm not sure if there are better options in 8.03 but this is an
option if you need it.

I'm trying to print out 2 copies of our packing slip (Laser NCR) to a
printer. I've set the defaults on both the preferences and the defaults
section to say QTY:2. Still the default always comes up with 1. Do I
have to programatically do this?
The other thing I was looking at was the Printer and Auto Print
respectively. Do these actually work and are there any examples that I
can model to get it working? Help explains what they are, but doesn't
give any examples of a working setup. Ie: Report
Path: "Reports/PackSlip.rpt"
The problem I may have with Auto print is we have more than 1 location
printing packing slips. Any suggestions?
I'm kind of what to tell the shipping clerks. The only thing I can
think of is you must remember to change the Quantity every time. The
little things that make it annoying:-)

PS: Crystal reports does not care if you give it a tray either. It
pulls from the Printers default tray. Support said to try an HP
LaserJet series printer. Does that mean that the printing doesn't
actually happen with the Windows Drivers?
