"Default revenue recognition method" error message thrown when trying to change COMPANY setup, PRODUCTION module options

We are needing to change a couple options on the Company Setup, Production Module tab in Epicor 9 but no matter what option we try to change on this screen, as soon as we try to save we get a pop up error that says :slight_smile:

“The default revenue recongnition method can be manual or none when project billing is not licensed.”

We’ve never seen this error before, and it really doesn’t make sense in the wording. Does anyone know what causes this or how to get past it?

Mike,

If you’re not Project users, just change the Default Revenue Recognition Method to None. (Services | Project Billing tab)

Actually for E9 its under company maintenance but otherwise the same tab
