Delete or Inactivate a Transaction Document Type set as Default for System Transaction

Does anyone know how to either Delete or Inactivate a Transaction Document Type once it has been set as Default for System Transaction? I did not want to make it a default but since this was the first one setup it forced me to.

I cannot do it from Transaction Document Type Maintenance as I get “A system transaction default type cannot be deleted”. I also tried via DMT and an Updateable BAQ. I would like to at least make it inactive. Fortunately I did this in our Pilot environment but I still would like to either delete or make inactive.

Is there another Tran Doc Type that can be set as the default?

Or do you not want to use them at all and it was created and “locked in” while doing some testing?
