I think what Nancy is saying is that the Progress session gets terminated, but the Vantage lic file is still in use (this actually happens quite often). Using Promon, you will not see any licenses in use, because the Progress session is gone already. Normally Vantage will eventually catch these as other users log in and delete the unused license record. However, if you don't like to wait for that to occur, you can query each license record pairing it to a matching PID. If you can't find an active PID, that license is not in use and that record can be deleted freeing up the license.

In the promon, choose 'Shutdown database'. In there, you will see the users computer name and you will be able to terminate their connection.

Here is my problem: when the users are connected to Vantage and
Vantage crashes for any reason, the users stay stuck in a process that
I cannot suppress. This means that they use a license without being in
Vantage. How can I deconnect them? When I go in the promon to suppress
them, I can't see them since they are stuck to a process. I would be
very grateful if you had a way to suppress them.

Thank you

Nancy
