Deleting a Quote Line jumps to different Quote Number

This has come up a couple times now and I can’t seem to find any information regarding it and it seems to be sporadic at best.

A user is in Opportunity/Quote Entry with Quote # 456789 with 4 lines. They highlight line 2 and hit delete. The line deletes, but Opportunity/Quote Entry is now on Quote # 123456.

Any thoughts?

  1. Are there any related BPM’s enabled?
  2. Does it always jump to the same quote? or the same difference in quote number?
  3. Is there any relationship between the two quotes (was 123456 used as a template for #456789) ?
  4. I never delete multiple rows at once. Select 1, delete it, lather, rinse & repeat …

Thanks for the quick response.

  1. None that I am aware of. Just did a quick search and I’m not finding any.
  2. Same Quote # for each line that was deleted. Only happened for that particular quote.
  3. This was my hunch. I don’t know if you can duplicate/copy a quote and have ties to the original. I’m going to investigate this point further.
  4. Only 1 line was deleted at a time.

Sorry about #4. I misread the original post.

If you can duplicate it (even if not 100% of the time), turn on tracing to get some more insight. I don’t think you need to enable any details (“Full Dataset”, Track Changes…"etc …). Just check what methods are called, and their parameters.

One more thing. Is the quote it jumps to loaded in the form? (this sample snippit shows just one record “loaded”)
