Deploy Dashboard Error

Hi,
I am remoting into the Epicor of our sister company to build them a dashboard. I used the username and password of one of their employees. Everything is working until I go to deploy the dashboard. It says it cannot deploy the dashboard to the location it is trying to. For some reason it looks like it is trying to deploy on my local server instead of their server. Is there any way to change where it is trying to deploy the dashboard?

Just wondering what your environment is, how you are connecting to the remote location?

I’ve not seen issues deploying dashboards before.
I typically connect in this order

  • VPN connection
  • remote desktop connect to a system local to their domain - e.g. a PC or VM
  • using credentials for that domain with the same rights as thier Epicor users
  • then launch Epicor - i.e. the session would be local to them

This might be E10 specific. If your E10 App was setup to use Windows credentials, you can only launch E10 as the user logged into that computer. Even using the Change User on the E10 main window, doesn’t change which E10 user account is used.

If you use remote desktop and connect to the remote server as userA, but need to run as userB, hold down SHIFT and right click the shortcut to Epicor.

Then select Run as different user

You then supply the network credentials

Note: the network credentials that you enter (domain and user id) must match those setup for an E10 user.
