Detail Tab Loses all properties

Using the client version and not the browser version.

Have UD17 customized in a few different places for a few different forms we use.

Was working on one customization and somehow it lost all details for the details tab:

So, apparently have to completely rebuild the customization…

But it did it on multiple customizations for UD17. Ones that are not based on each other, but use UD17.

It did not do this to all of them, but at least 4 different ones. Any ideas on how this happens or if there’s a fix. Really don’t want to rebuild all these forms but really don’t want to rebuild them just to have it then happen again.

Oddness intensified, if I export one of these customizations from the Test server (backup) and import it in, it may or may not work. If it does, it works once then breaks immediately.

Can’t say its related or not… but I have several forms that even in Kinetic App Studio show up with no Application Maps.

This below example is BASE layer, opened directly from App Studio. Form still works, it loads. But no map. My custom layer also has no map… so I can’t edit it.

In App Studio, I’ve found you can at least get to SOME pages by opening them via the Layout slideout… so I can actually get to the main Order page. but I can’t get to, for example, Line Details… or Release Details, because they’re not listed in the Layout.

If I import one of the broken customizations and then open it, it opens fine. If I open one of the other forms after this, they open fine. If I exit Epicor and come back in, the forms are broken again.

Even more fun. If I export one of the affected customizations from Live and import to Test it works perfect. Export it back out and reimport it to Live - doesn’t work.

Since the form works in Test, I decided to load it up on Test and just rebuild it control by control in Live and then copy over the code.

And the control locations shuffled on save… (not all of them, just some of them)

Original:

Save and reopen:

And yes, there’s now a scroll bar on the bottom since it shifter everything over a few hundred pixels… Really like to get the first form rebuilt so I can start on the other 8.

Further fun - if I open Test and open the customization it works. Then open live and it works (as long as Test is still open and I opened it first)
If I open Live first (where it’s broke) and then open Test, Test doesn’t work.

And before you say I’m crazy because that can’t work like that - that’s what the Epicor support person just told me before he watched me do it.

He then insisted that was impossible but he took note of it any way to send to their tech team.

Still not having any luck with this.

I was hoping to just rewrite the customizations. I can add a new tab, put all the information on there and it works great. Problem is that the details tab is what opens. You then have to click to the new tab every time you open the form.

I can’t hide the details tab since it has no properties. Any ideas of a way to make the new tab the one the form opens to?
