Hi all,
Also working on bpm in job entry.
In my case when the job is released want to make sure of 3 things
1)backflush on material is checked. (doesn't matter what material as long as one is checked)
2)auto-receive is checked (same as above)
3)final operation is checked(same as above)
If not raise exceptions for each one.
I saw the above thread and are wondering if I follow the same technique?

I am trying to write a BPM (1st one)for Job Entry. We have some parts that we make as stock items. We are trying to get a BPM done so when you change the "make to type" to "stock" it will not let you save the job if the part is a non-stock item.
I have written the following BAQ that will work to filter out parts based on the parts master. It only shows the parts that are considered "Stock".
for each JobHead no-lock , each Part where ( Part.NonStock = False) and (ttJobHead.Company = Part.Company
and ttJobHead.PartNum = Part.PartNum) no-lock.
I can trigger a message box to pop up and prompt the input person to verify the part number as being a "Stock" part, but this will not prevent them from creating the job anyway.
Can anyone steer me in the right direction as to how to create this if possible.

Where do I put the query in at on a condition. I have tried it in a couple of places and it throws back errors. If you could steer me as to where it should go maybe I could figure out why I am getting the errors.

Jose, Thank you for the Video. I put in everything like you show on the video. when i run a job this pops up:
The field ttJobHead.AnalysisCdDescription does not have a valid data type.
Any Idea Why

On JOb Entry there is an analysis Code drop down on the bottom rigth of the
form make sure whatever you have selected there has a valid description...
