Digest question

I have gone bonkers in the last few hours too...
It must be contagious.

Is the "Daily Digest" broken? I've been getting MANY e-mail notifications. Then when I open up the digest - there are only 2 topics.
It all depends on the total number of posts, there may only be 2 topics, but
there might be dozens of posts.

Personally, I find it easier to use an email address I don't use for
anything else just for this group.

I use this gmail account and let it subscribe to every individual response,
mostly because of the way gmail threads the responses, but also because it
allows for an ability to search that can't be beat by any other program that
I have come accross.

I also keep it funneled off into a secondary email program like Outlook
Express or Thunderbird to keep it even more seperate from my regular email,
so I am not innundated with emails unless I want to be and they don't end up
in my company email, or being forwarded to my blackberry for near constant
"buzzing" to let me know I have new mail.

I changed to this after dealing with the digest version for a couple months,
I found clarity of responses to be difficult to digest(no pun intended)
through the daily digest version due to how unclear one post could be from
another, especially if there were multiple replies to the same topic with
nested quotes of the original emails they were replying to. The confusion
made it almost unbearable for me to even try and read them on a daily basis,
and definitely cuts down on timely responses from my POV.

Now I do a quick scan of the subject of the post and if I care, or can offer
assitance I do, if not I can easily ignore it.

This issue just started this afternoon. We are all getting digests about every 10-15 minutes (or whenever there are 2 emails in the digest. Usually I get maybe 4 or 5 a day, each with many topics and responses. In the last 3 hours I have received at least 10 emails (I lost count) each with only 2 topics/responses.
