Mike,

From Shop Employee Maintenance you can check/uncheck the boxes accordingly
for "Report Scrap Quantity" and/or "Report Non-Conf Quantity".

We do not allow reporting of scrap so I have the "Report Scrap Quantity"
unchecked. We too force everything thru nonconformance so I have "Report
Non-Conf Quantity" checked.

Works well and will get you what you need.

screen. Can someone suggest the best method for me to incorporate this and
steps involved. Thanks so much...

Vantage gurus,

We are getting ready to change our process for labor reporting to not allow any product to be scrapped but instead be sent through the non-conformance system. I'd like to be able to "disable" the ability for a worker to enter anything into the scrap area on their MES/labor entry screen. Can someone suggest the best method for me to incorporate this and steps involved. Thanks so much...

We work the opposite way and have non-conformance disabled... we do it by having a row rule that says if the Non-Conformance Qty equals the Non-Conformance Qty then the field is disabled. We've had no problems with this method.

Speaking from 6.1, but isn't there still a checkbox on the employee to allow/disallow "Report Scrap Quantity"? (Same for "Report Non-Conform Qty")
Hope so, because that makes it really easy to block.
