{Disarmed} Help! New company setup

Helen,

I had the same problem but I am running 5.2. This is what fixed my error.
I hope this helps

Within System Management>Configuration Maintenance> Company> select the
company> Module Configuration>All Modules:
Is there a default warehouse selected in the General warehouse field?
This field must be populated with a valid warehouse

I am trying to set up new company in Vantage. I am trying to add parts in
part maintenance, but it is giving me an error message "at least one
warehouse for current plant must exist". I have gone to master file for
warehouse and set it up and it is still showing the same message. Did
anybody ever encounter this situation?

Any help is appreciated.

Thank you,

Helen Litovsky

It sounds like you need to create a warehouse.

Material mgmt >> inventory mgmt>> setup>> warehouse.

It will probably make you have at least one bin. Which is same place but
it's called warehouse bin.

There will be a plant master table to set this up in.

Also make sure there is a warehouse in your company config....which
usually doesn't let you save unless it is there, but you never know.

Having established new companies and company structures in two ERP systems now (MAPICS and Vantage), I would suggest that this is a non-casual activity and I'd want to engage Epicor consulting expertise to make sure you got everything setup properly.

They provided us with several different checklists for new company setup. It's a big deal.

Ditto.

A novice to Vantage should not be setting up a company from scratch. You'll regret it later.

Do you happen to have a copy of those check list as related to inventory? I have a feeling that i need to check a box somewhere for this to work. I am not a novice in Vantage, we have another company in Vantage already.

Created a warehouse and 2 bin locations. It's not letting me past entering the part number, giving me that error message. We have 1 main plant set up for all companies.
