Disaster Recovery Strategy

Hi,

I am currently part of a project to set up a disaster recovery environment on an isolated network on a different site for events such as fire.

This is on top of of replication in a VM environment and SQL backups using Veam.

One thing we are looking at is SQL Mirroring to minimise data loss in the event of have to switch to the DR site.

I was just wondering whether anyone has had any experience/ recommendations regarding real time replication.

For example, is there a performance trade off?

Thanks,

Andrew.
