Epicor 9, yeah, not helpful to you now...

While this help text describes your discount days, the same is true for the
Net due date as well.

Days -- Each discount percentage period is defined by a number of days after
the invoice date. Any payments made within this time period use this
discount percentage.

Days of Month -- Each discount percentage period is defined by a specific
day each month. If a payment falls within a certain date range in a previous
month, however, the payment is automatically moved to the discount
percentage for the next month. This range is determined by the Minimum
field.

End of X-Month(s) + Y Day(s) -- Each discount percentage period is defined
by a number of months plus an optional number of days into the last month
past the invoice date. Any payments made within this time period use this
discount percentage.

We have a supplier that gives us terms of 1% 10th prox, net 15. If we pay by the 10th of the following month, we get a 1% discount. If not, the invoice is due 15 days after the invoice date. Aside from the fact that those terms sometimes allow you to get a discount if you pay after the due date of the invoice, I cannot figure out a way to represent those terms in Vista/Vantage. I could work around the whole thing if Epicor would let me change the discount date when I enter the invoice, but I cannot even do that. Does anyone have a good workaround for this problem?

BTW, if this were the only vendor that gave us oddball terms that cannot be represented in Epicor terms setup, I would probably keep track of this stuff on little bits of paper, but we have a lot of vendors with different terms.

Thom, as far as I know, Vantage does not have a good way to enter terms
that have a discount if paid by a certain day of the month. We have to
manually remember not to pay that vendor until the 10th of the following
month. We only have one of those types of vendor accounts. We are on
version 6.1 and I was hoping 8.03 would have this available, but
apparently it does not.
