Distributed Crystal Reports through Citrix - HELP

To help fill in a couple of those blanks :

change user /query

(Find out what mode you are in)

change user /install

(Change to install things for all users mode)

change user /execute

(Change back to normal execution mode)

Regards, David.

Hi,

My Citrix is a little rusty, but I remember having to manually put the
system into "Install mode" on occasion. "Install mode" is needed by the
OS
so that all the user profiles get the necessary parts of the application
during an installation. It is supposed to be able to do it
automatically
when it see's the program SETUP.EXE or INSTALL.EXE. But alas it's
software!

I don't remember the syntax, but it was a command line instruction,
something like "user mode install" followed by a "user mode execute" to
put
the system back to normal mode.

I'm sure there are others here that deal with this daily - that can fill
in
the blanks.

Good Luck,

Charles

I am looking for anyone who uses a Citrix Metaframe Server for
remote users (other offices, home offices, etc.) for Vantage and if
they compile and distribute reports through Citrix.

I have run into the problem that the Citrix server seems to want me
to run the setup.exe file that is created by the distibution expert
for each user profile before it will work for that user. The trouble
I am having is that all my users do not have rights to add/remove
programs on the terminal (Citrix) server. If I do not run the
setup.exe file I get Error in Database DLL when attempting to run
the distributed report.

HELP - I have been working on this for 3 days!
