Distributing Crystal Reports (v8.5)

Hi Kelly,

I used Easy View at my last job and really liked it and the price was
great too - it was a about $30 per user. Here is the address:

We have recently begun distributing our Crystal Reports using the
Distribution Wizard in 8.5. This isn't a great solution (even the
Crystal menu gives you a warning message) and we are looking for a
better option.

We priced Crystal's Server edition but its fairly expensive. Is this
the recommended method? How is everyone else distributing reports?
We love the functionality of a distributed report and users have begun
to depend on these reports, but i'm worried about out growing the
distribution expert (we probably already have).

Any advice/thoughts are greatly appreciated!

Kelly
Kelly,

You are welcome to use our free viewer / deployment tool here:

Let me know if you have any questions on how to get it set up.

Take care,
Adam

For whatever its worth, we distribute all our reports using the 8.5
distribution wizard. My main recommendation here would be to setup some
kind of secured network share, and reference the mapped path.

As standard practice, I create a subfolder to the folder I am
distributing to called "distribution." The actual executable gets
placed outside that folder so there is not a mountain of garbage to sift
through.
