DMR and Misc. Pack Slips (Epicor 9)

We use the misc. packing slip as our debit memo when returning defective material to suppliers

 

The information we enter in reject comments carries over to the misc. packing slip when the DMR is referenced. This is where we put details of the debit memo

 

To the best of our IT group’s knowledge this is not a customization

 

We are using 9.05.701

Does anyone our there use Misc Packslips when returning a part to supplier via a DMR?  It is my understanding that if you have a DMR and need to return to supplier a Misc Packslip is issued.  But the Packslips don't have any cost associated.  Our Accounting department wants the cost on the packslip but pulling from DMR can be quite confusing for me.  Has anyone modified their DMR packslips to show cost?  What process do others do for this?

We use the DMR's with Misc packing slips to return parts to the vendor. However, we do not include the Cost and I have never been asked to. I do know that some info does already pull into the packing slip from the DMR (RMA#, reason code) so perhaps you could modify the report data definition to include cost? Sorry I do not have more to offer.

Thanks for the input.  I was going to modify it but wanted to get some opinions on what others were doing.  For what I read they should be getting an invoice if they owe us money.

Yes, but you would not do that thru the packing slip process. That is done thru AP.
