DMR Question

Hi All

Just a quick question if i may about DMR, we had some stock delivered to us that when it went to inspection failed and put into DMR and the stock was then sent back. Since then the stock has been sent back to us saying that they are now ok. here is my question the serial number and part numbers are still on the system is the best option to just adjust stock levels as if nothing happened? or treat them as new stock and make new serial numbers for them. And is there any finance issues with just changing the stock levels way.

Cheers

If you “Rejected” them from DMR (which sounds like the case here), it will be easier to create new serial numbers for them. The original serial numbers have been listed as scrapped, and “unscrapping” them leaves a messy trail to follow should you ever have to.

If, on the other hand, you had “Accepted” them to a job, and as the first operationon the job sent them out on a subcontract op to the original vendor to “repair” them, then when they came back they could have been received easily on their original serial numbers, with paper trail fully intact.
