DMR Rejected Assemblies to Scrap but should have been accepted back to the Job

We have assemblies on a job to build. 17 of the 34 were non-conformanced at QA and put on a DMR to be sent back to a supplier to fix. We put the DMR paperwork in the DMR cage for visibility and when the assemblies come back after being fixed, we ‘Accept’ them on the DMR back to the job. However, one of newer buyers ‘Rejected’ them instead and they went to the Scrap account. These 17 have to get back to the job and moved through to stock so we can get them shipped to our customer (they are already late).

How do I get assemblies back to the job…the 17 quantity and the costs associated with the DMR and how do I get the dollars that hit the scrap account when the DMR was rejected out of the scrap account?

Thank you in advance.

You are probably going to have to do a Job Adjustment to get them back to the job. If you have a test environment, you will want to practice in there first and look at the transactions.

Thank you Beth. I was actually able to delete the ‘reject’ in DMR processing.

Good to hear! Sometimes you can and sometimes you can’t. Glad to hear that it worked out for you
