Hi,
I tried to search here, but I did not quite find the answer (or the thread was very old). We have until today been keying in the results of our cycle count manually, which feels quite a lot like a monkey job I have somewhere a vague hunch that I have heard that DMT could be used for it?
a) is that true?
b) does it work well?
c) where is it and how to use it?
Good morning,
If you are using the formal cycle counting in Epicor / Kinetic, you can easily use a paste insert/update in the grid view - or a DMT. If you aren’t kicking off a formal cycle within Epicor, then you would use a Quantity Adjustment DMT.

Pretty much what JennL also said :
Go to count tag entry , list tab and copy the list into excel.
Using vlookup match the data (based on tag ID) to the excel with the data you have received from the cycle count. Then do a paste update in Epicor and you have your data.
There is no DMT for count tag entry and it will most likely never be one.
There are 4 columns mandatory : tag returned, returned quantity, counted by and counted date - if you fill out these, you are good.
The label might not be quite like these but fill out manually one record and see in the list tab where this data was filled out.
P.S. If you do multiple paste updates, next time when you do the search put the tick-box “include returned tags” otherwise next time you will no longer see the tags which were already updated previously.
