DMT - Using an Excel file for import

FYI, I just installed Excel 2007 and now the DMT is opening my XLSX file.

I have found that it does require Excel to be installed to work with XLS* files. Maybe not with CSV...

Hi All,

If I am using an XLS or XLSX file for the import, does the PC running
DMT need to have Excel installed on it?

Hmmm.

I have an XLSX file with 7,600 rows in it.

If I use DMT on my laptop, it loads the file in about 10 seconds.

If I try to open the file on my Epicor 9 server, it never loads. I can tell that it’s not even trying to open the file because the CPU is virtually idle.

My laptop is running Win7 64Bit and Server is running Windows Server 2008 64Bit.

Any ideas?
