DMT Vendor GL account segments

Hi all,

I’m in the middle of upgrading from 9 to 10 and using DMT for all of the data moves. It’s been a struggle for sure and I’ve had to abandon DMT and just manually enter data at numerous points.
Stuck on GL codes for vendors now and it’s not really practical to enter this data by hand…too many vendors.

I think I have the GL account and context entered correctly, but DMT is throwing an error:

2021-06-17 10_42_24-GL Control Maintenance
2021-06-17 10_43_17-e10app - Remote Desktop Connection

I’ve tried a few different formats on the GL code, xxxxx-xx-xxx and xxxxx|xx|xxx, same error with either attempt. Any ideas?

Thanks for reading.

It does depend on the DMT version

but this is what we use to when creating new companies. Not sure if the format will come through ok,.

Interesting…I must be using the wrong DMT template then as I don’t see segment values as field options.

Or I am. I use this for loading all gl controls for part classes/product groups as well. To fair don’t use supplier gl controls.

You need to create the GL Control Code under the appropriate GL Control Type in the Finance area, then you can add the Control Type and Code to this DMT uploade.

Thanks, Ernie. Just to make sure we are on the same page, are you referring to this, or is there another setup I’m missing?

That looks right.

Alright, thank you. So that was already configured prior to the DMT attempts, so I must have a different issue.

GLControlCode value is DUES, BENI, EQUIP, etc and not actual GL Account. GL Account is already linked to GL Control Code.
