I can’t delete a routing list in Doc-Link used for APM. Anyone know much about this topic?

We use Doc-Link, and just got of the phone with tech support regarding this very thing. I’m trying to do some cleanup for the first time since going live in Jan 2014. Apparently, there is no way to delete a routing list as long as a reference to it exists anywhere in the Doc-Link database. This would refer to any document that has traversed the list. I suppose I could go through the D/B and surgically remove all documents associated with those routes, but I’ve chosen to simply rename the lists to “ObsoleteXYZ” with XYZ being a reminder as to what the list is/was used for.
Epicor also suggests that you modify the criteria so that it no longer gets used.
