We are having a problem with Autoview & Solid Works files (which have 6
char extentions). Document association works great with 3-char
extentions, but when we try to send it a 6-char extension file (Solid
Works), the Autoview viewer loads , but no file is passed. If we go
into Document Association, and overwrite the "%1" argument and replace
it with the actual filename (6-char), it works just fine!
I then used Lotus as the "viewer", and when we tried to send the 6-char
file to lotus, it responded with "%1 file not found". If we sent Lotus a
3-char file, Lotus responded with "c:\solidworks\image.slddrw invalid
lotus format"..... which tells me the problem HAS to be with Document
Association not passing the file if
the extention is greater than 3-char.
But....Virginia at tech support IS able to get it to work properly!!!
What could be the problem?
Any help would be much appreciated!
