Vantage is running fairly good on SQL. There has been issues with
using a sql server though. We have found 3 unique bugs( time zone
offset doesn't work for data collection, line items are doubled when
you convert a quote to a order, price locks don't work under certain
conditions) that caused by a sql backend. Currently Vantage
developers are working on them to release in a new patch(at least im
told that). Performance-wise it is good now, but i believe some areas
will be hampered in the future do to that fact that this will be our
main erp, as they are stearing away from some funtionality that the
as400 could handle better.
We currently have about 118 users and the numbers grow as we carry
out the implementation to other shops within the US. By the end of
the north america implementation we should have Vantage running on 3
servers.
