Gary,
A little known detail about Document Management (at least to
version 5) It does NOT support long file names, it supports DOS file name
format. This causes some issues with Microsoft products, BECAUSE, if you
have numerous Microsoft products installed the path in the Vantage Document
management GETS LOST. Here's a possible suggestion, Create a shortcut to
word or excel, with a short file name and drop it into the root like Calvin
suggested for IE Explorer.

i am having issues getting anything but excel sheets to work in the
doc manager.. when i try a PDF or a Word doc i get the following :
starting position for substring, overlay, etc must be 1 or greater.

what have i done wrong ???
