Yeah, for our setup the user that's logged into the domain is passed across to Sharepoint as the authenticated user to upload the document to the site.
You could try editing the permissions on the sharepoint and modify the Visitors group to allow Contribute permissions and see if that does the trick. By default Visitors are read only.
