Does a theme's background image have size limits? If so what are they? Using Epicor 9.05

I changed the image yesterday and everything seemed fine. This morning we ran into log in issues and people could log in but stops working soon after. We are in the middle of an upgrade to 10 so that may be a factor. Can use some help
