Double sided job traveler skip even page if its an assembly

Was wondering if anybody could give me some possible guidance with SSRS on the Job traveler. We are wanting to start printing double-sided but our production office does not want an assembly on the back of a page. I was thinking of having an if statement that would look at the page number and if the page number was even to push it to the next page but I am not sure if that’s even possible.

You should be able to have the assembly start on a new page.

however if the new page is Even you need to insert another blank page - I don’t know the buck is worth the bang on that one.

We currently use New page per Assembly but our production office is wondering if it’s possible to skip even pages if it’s trying to print a new assembly and I am not sure if it’s possible or even worthwhile.

Hey Luke,

Just thinking out loud here but what if you added a new group level with a group footer. That group does a page advance after then set the row visibility set to:

PageNumber / 2 <> 0

So it only advances when on a odd page. This would put you on the even page. Then the group change for the assembly would skip to a new page. You could even put the infamous “This page is intentionally left blank” message in the group footer.

Haven’t tried it. Just a thought.
