Drop Down List Blank Title 97887

Good morning Michael.

You need an "UltraCombo" box to be able to enter a list; you will have indeed, to link this box to a field and think in your case it will be easier if you link it to a UDF (User Defined Field) within the Table you are working off of; for instance, if you are trying to add a DropDown list in Project Header, you would select "Project" as the Datasource table and either "Character01" or "ShortChar01" field.

I'll send you a screen-shot of what I tested here in a minute.

Regards.

I've customized the quotation detail screen so that users can enter more detail against a product.

I want to users to select from a list of "Units of Measure".

My qusetion is if I use a combo box I have to point at a DataSource (Table). Do I have to use one of the User Defined Tables as the datasource or can I just create a list.

I'm a relative novice at Vantage so if someone could give me some detail on how to achieve this?

We're using Version 803.409C

Thanks in Advance.
If you want to use the built in UOMs, just point it at that table.

You can just put a list in the drop down if you don't expect the list of
UOMs to change. Otherwise, you're going to want a UD table; especially if
you want the list to be user editable.
