Eric,

About this reply you sent me last week. When we send something
directly to our customer from our vendor (Drop Ship) we still need to do a
"fake" reception of the material and a "fake" packing slip, correct?

Is anybody having to dropship parts from a vendor to a customer?
We have a customer that orders a tube from us, and we order the tube cut
to length from our vendor, and they ship it directly to our customer.
How would we set this up in Vantage 3.00.632? Any ideas would be
greatly appreciated.

Are you planning on going to 4.0 soon? If so that feature is built in.

We have several customers that are drop shipped by our vendors. We create a
sales order that pulls from inventory rather than make from a job. A PO is
made with the vendor. The PO directs our vendor to notify us when the
shipment is made; we receive a copy of the packing slip. Next, a receipt
against the PO is made. Finally we create a packing slip in Vantage and bill
the customer. Hope this helps.

When you generate a new PO and your at the header screen where you input the
