We are using dynamic attributes and need to receive a PO that is slightly short of the converted qty from the attribute tracked part. We cannot get past the question popup asking us if we want to change the PO line qty to match. When we hit no it will uncheck the received checkbox in receipt entry. We do not want to change the line qty on the PO. We want to receive the PO line qty we initially entered and allow for some sort of tolerance. Does anyone know if this setting exists or what options we have?
It’s asking to change the receipt line qty to match the actual qty dynamic attribute calculation.
That won’t change the PO Line qty. There will be a Remaining qty in the amount of the difference and the POLineRelease will remain open.
If you don’t expect to receive that remaining qty, you can check the Completed box on the ReceiptLine to close the POLineRel.
Now you have received the correct actual qty based on attributes entered on Receipt and the order is fullfilled.
If you’d rather receive the incorrect attributes as ordered, then simply don’t visit the Attribute button on the reciept line. It will receive the attribute set as ordered.
I appreciate the response. I gave this a shot but it won’t actually hit inventory unless you check the received checkbox. It did close the PORel line when marking the receipt as complete but it doesn’t create a transaction against the part at all. If I don’t add anything to the attributes button it also will not allow it to be received either. I’m still investigating this one to see if I can find the right solution for my company.
I tested again and it’s working as described. In both cases you must check received box to process the receipt transaction, as always.
Option1: Receive actual dimentions
add receipt line, visit attrubutes, say yes to the qty update prompt, mark received, mark complete
now you have receive actual attributes/qty different than po qty and no further qty is expected
Option2: Receive as ordered
add receipt line, do not visit attributes, no update qty prompt, mark received, completed is automatically marked
now you have received the ordered attributes/qty and no further qty is expected
