E10: How to generate estimates

I should probably clarify! : )

The bill of material breakdown that I am looking for is as follows:

Material Cost Estimate for Product X
Product Name Product X
Product Qty    1
Drawing          X9999999
                                                   Weight (lbs)                                       Costs ($)
                               SteelShape#1 Structural  SteelShape#2     SteelShape#1  Structural   SteelShape#2
Subassembly Name
Subassembly 1          111                222         222                    $333                 $2222      $1000
Subassembly 2          111                222         222                    $333                 $2222      $1000
Subassembly 3          111                222         222                    $333                 $2222      $1000
Subassembly 4          111                222         222                    $333                 $2222      $1000

and also the mechanical and electrical material costs broken down by the lowest level part numbers.

Hey, nhoyt111- Because I am fairly new to Epicor, how might I use a quote to build a method?  i.e. What screen should I open and then which tab should I open?

Hey, Ree- The costs for some of our products are in the Epicor database.

Maybe creating a quote template is what I should try?

Hello, Epicor Experts!

I am new to this group -- and fairly new to Epicor.

I have been given the assignment to generate estimates.  So far for one of our simple pieces of equipment, I have entered the all of the parts numbers: drawing numbers, sub-assemblies numbers, and actual parts numbers into Engineering Workbench.  Unfortunately, there are no costs being pulled into Epicor Workbench.

What have you used in Epicor, or for that matter what combination of Epicor and a second application, to generate estimates?

Sheri

Sheri,

Check out BOM Cost under Engineering/Reports, on E10, anyway.

Sheri -

Also, you can go to Part Tracker => General => Costs for an overview (not Part / Part Maintenance).

Have the costs been rolled into the database?

You can also use the quote to build a method.
Thank you, everyone!  I will try these and let the group know.

Have a great weekend!
