E10 - Importing Posting Rules - Compile Errors

From system management/upgrade/mass regeneration/conversion workbench run the import gl transaction types.

If you manually import them through the Actions menu from GL Transaction types several of them will not load. If you run the conversion above that should do it for you

While importing the posting rules as part of our Financial setup for E10 (10.700.1) the import failed on about 25 of the rules.  With the assistance of our implementation consultant I tried running the Posting conversions and then manually trying to import the ones that failed but got the message “There is at least one compilation error”.

 

I have referred this to Support but in the meantime if anyone else has seen this please let me know what your solution was or if this is a known issue for Support I can maybe point them in the right direction.  We do the Production setup session tomorrow and not having the postings working might cause some issues.

Todd, we are running into the same thing (on 10.0.700.2) and its causing us issues with Currency not found when we try to enter orders, intercompany PO's, etc

I have a support call in regarding the currency code issue but I think this is related to the posting rules compilation error as well

Yes, just the plain out of the box standard rules.  I copied them (per instructions) from the Standard folder on the server to my PC to do the import from there but did not change anything in that folder.

 

An SCR # would help in case the support person I get is not already aware of an issue.

Did not try that because the consultant said he had better success copying it locally.  I would try to do the import again via a network Share but want to talk to support first.  It’s odd that most worked but a bunch did not.  I don’t know enough about them to look for a common thread.
