# E10 migration: Application Server Signon Error

Using the Migration guide to migrate from 9.05.702A to 10.1.500.7.

I am on the part of configuring the Application Server, but stuck on signing onto first time with manager/manager.

I get error : “Application Server version has not been verified. Review the Error Message below to troubleshoot your connection issue. It may indicate you need to manually install a newer version of the Administration Console to connect or that it is not supported. Error Message: Invalid username or password.”

I am using manager and signed on as Windows Administrator with the Domain\administrator, Domain\epicor, and NT Authority\SYSTEM with SQL sysadmin server role checked. 

Any help will be appreciated

You coming from SQL or Progress?
I always have better luck running the migration with SQL Auth... but that's just me

SQL .

When you say SQL Auth, do you mean sa / password?

Correct, on both DB's / Servers... I have horrible luck with Windows Auth... Kerberos is a female dog sometimes!

What would be the Endpoint binding in the Application Server Setup?

I do have sa in the Database Connection, is there somewhere else to put sa in the  Application Server Setup?

Endpoint binding is different than DB you can set that WindowsUsernameChannel
Then set the DB setup to use sa / pwd at least through the conversion... and see if that helps;

Application Server Settings:
...EndPoint Binding: UsernameWindowsChannel
...ApplicationPool: Custom Account : unchecked and not used
Database Connection:
...ServerName: local
...Authentication: SQL Auth
...User: sa
...Password: <MySecret>
...Test connection (WORKS)
Admin console Settings:
...Epicor User Name: manager
...Password: manager

I deploy and try to Connect to Application Server: ERROR: Invalid username and password.

Found a fix. 

Admin console Settings:
...Epicor User Name: manager
...Password: manager **(One is required to change the password)**

I changed the password, but didn't change to the new password in Application Server Setup and redeploy.
Also, not found in documentation.

I am facing the same issue. What do you mean by " **One is required to change the password**". I have setup the username/password manager/manager on Admin Console Settings.

You say that you have the same issue - so this is an upgrade. You should use the current password for "manager" that is valid in your application - in other words, the password you would use to sign into E9 as the manager user.
